Cheers to the happy couple!

By now, you've probably shared the exciting news with your family and friends and are already list-deep in creating what is sure to be an event to remember. Huge crowd or intimate gathering? Live band or DJ? Champagne or craft whiskey? (Both!) And who will you sit next to your "eccentric" Uncle Leo?

All told, The Wedding Report estimates the average cost for a wedding in 2022 was around $27,000.

Fate may have brought you together, but protecting your wedding investments shouldn't be left to chance.

We'll admit, buying the right Wedding Insurance may not be cake-tasting-day-level fun, but it does mean getting hitched knowing you're financially covered from last minute wedding day glitches. And it's an easy item to cross off your list. We have affordable policies to protect your Big Day from a variety of costly, bliss-busting emergencies.

What Does Wedding Insurance Cover?

Cancellation or Postponement Coverage. Wedding Insurance cancellation coverage helps protect you from financial loss if your big day needs to be postponed or canceled due to family illness, extreme weather, or some other unexpected reason. Reimbursement is available for transportation, food, catering services, property and equipment rentals, hall and location rentals, and more.

Coverage for Lost Security Deposits. Wedding insurance protects lost deposits, such as those paid to bakers, caterers, bridal boutiques and wedding venues that go out of business. We can reimburse your deposit if a vendor goes out of business, declares bankruptcy before your wedding, or simply fails to show up.

Wedding Video/Photo Coverage. Wedding insurance includes coverage for wedding photos and videos. That means, if your photographer or videographer doesn't show up for the event, or doesn't deliver photos and videos when promised, you're covered. If your photographer's film or data storage is defective, or negatives are lost or damaged, we can help cover the cost to retake new photos.

Special Attire and Jewelry Coverage. Wedding Insurance includes coverage for lost or damaged dresses or attire, and special jewelry coverage that includes lost or damaged wedding rings.

Protection for Wedding Gifts. Wedding Insurance can provide coverage for wedding gifts so you can receive repair or replacement cost if your wedding gifts are damaged.

Additional Wedding Expenses. Wedding insurance can provide coverage for additional and unexpected expenses that come up, such as replacing a damaged wedding cake, spoiled food and other glitches in catering and entertainment.

Wedding Liability Insurance. Wedding liability insurance is an optional coverage that can cover damages to the venue or injuries to guests.

Lost Deposits. We can reimburse your deposit if a vendor goes out of business, declares bankruptcy before your wedding or simply fails to show up.

Severe Weather. If severe weather (such as a hurricane) forces you to postpone your wedding, we can provide reimbursement for certain non-recoverable expenses (subject to policy conditions and exclusions).

Call to Duty. If the bride or groom is unexpectedly called up to active duty, or has his or her military service leave revoked, forcing you to postpone the event, we can provide reimbursement for non-recoverable expenses.

Sudden Illness. If the wedding needs to be postponed because sudden illness prevents the bride, groom or their parents from attending, you can receive reimbursement for certain non-recoverable expenses.
*As COVID-19 is a known infectious disease and presents circumstances that may reasonably give rise to cancellation and/or postponement of your event, coverage will not be afforded in any way for such circumstance.

Venue Requires Insurance. As an additional option to your policy, you can add liability coverage to help protect yourself in case a guest is injured or causes damage to property.
