After graduating from Illinois State University, Matt began his career as an insurance advisor in 2010. He joined Joseph M. Wiedemann & Sons in 2015 as a Commercial Insurance advisor. Matt and his wife, Ashley, have two children, a son and a daughter. He is a worship leader at his church and enjoys golfing, fishing and hanging out with his family.
